Research Studies
TRACE investigators are conducting three types of studies:
- Extant database studies to identify the factors associated with patterns of participation in early intervention and preschool special education programs. Studies completed to date are published as Snapshots available on our products page.
- Process studies of the characteristics of effective child find, referral, early identification, and
eligibility determination practices.
- Outcome studies of the effectiveness of child find, referral, early
identification, and eligibility determination practices
used by state and local programs. These studies specifically
examine the extent to which the use of TRACE Tool Kits have desired consequences.
Findings from TRACE studies are described in Web-based Tracelines journal
articles and Web-based Snapshots research profiles.
